“You Are My Sunshine” releases it’s first trailer with a “going back in time” theme.
The upcoming movie “You Are My Sunshine” with Huang Xiao Ming and Yang Mi has consistently received lots of attention. With the success of the tv drama adaption, it has furthered roused up anticipation for the movie adaption and has brought on lots of comparison between the two adaptions.
I find the trailer to have a strong depressing and bitter feeling that the tv version did not have. There aren’t any dialogue in the teaser just a gloomy background music and a clock’s ticking sound, counting down to the time that we will be ushered into Mo Sheng and He Yi Cheng’s world. I think the producers decided not to use dialogue to represents the title of the novel that it is adapted from, which literally translates as”Silent Separation”, and to show the desolate feelings of couple when they broke up.
The captions on the trailer says “7 years , I meet you again” “7 years ago, I lost you” “7 years later, I will not let you go again” “May 1, Love does not compromise”
Check out the stills below:
These stills have a gloomier feel to them, which is a stark contrast to the stills that were released earlier
I find it weird that all the stills are of Huang Xiao Ming and Yang Mi except one photo with Tao in it. Is this to keep Tao’s fans happy. It’s been said that Tao’s role is a newly added one that doesn’t exist in the novel. With that desolate look on his face, I have a feeling he will be a factor that drives He Yi Cheng and Mo Sheng apart. Any guesses as to what Tao’s role is?
Below are the stills that were released earlier which has a happier feel to them that are from He Yi Cheng and Mo Sheng’s college days.
I am just waiting for its release on May 1.
What do you think about the trailer?
